Crown Ducal Florentine Cups and Saucer Floral Pattern. These 1930s cups and saucers were made in England by Crown Ducal and are in the Florentine shape. I have been unable to pin down the name of the pattern but it might be Gainsborough. They are dark cream with a heavily embossed fruit and flower border on the saucers with the same on the outside of the cups In the center of the saucer and the inside of the cups, there is a floral design including what appears to be purple and pink daisies, blue bonnets, and yellow jasmine. The red detail on some of the yellow flowers and in the center of the daisies is raised up a bit as if painted with some sort of "puff glaze"
This listing is for 5 cups and 7 saucers. The cups are 2 3/8" tall and 3 3/4" across the top. The saucers are 5 3/4" in diameter. These cups and saucers have very little crazing but 3 of the cups have small chips on the rims. The last photo accurately depicts these chips. The faults are reflected in the price of this lot and therefore they are sold as is. Having said that, these pieces are exquisite and will display beautifully.
