This is a vintage crocodile sewing pattern. It has been careful removed from a vintage book.
"Peter of the jungle thrashes his way out of the tsetse fly infested swamp with his catch - a giant, neon crodile. But is this crocodile with his lazy eyes, zipper-toothed smile and large dimensions a sculpture, a toy or a pillow? However you use this humorously savage and decorative beast, it works beautifully.
I've made Croc neon, textured nylon which is washable and has the interesting properties of being both crunchy and very soft. However, if you create Croc as a sculpture, try glowing, opulent silk for instant sophisitication and luxurry. Croc's large size is impressive, and the scrunchy texture that you get from all the sewn-in elastic is extremely touchable.
There is a lot of sewing in this crocodile, with elastic sewin into most seams and the rest gathered. Choose multi-colors carefully. Think tropical beaches, palm trees and azure seas. Then add the unexpected: a print, a flourescent or neon, for the nostrils, lips, back bumps or eyelids. Every crocodile needs the catch of the day, so make Croc a little fish to keep him happy."
