Vintage Chiffon overlay skirt with vintage lace/satin underlay/satin white rosette bodice.
We found this original off white vintage lace wedding dress and hand dyed it pink. We then realized that the lace is so delicate that we had to do something with the bodice especially so we made an entire new bodice. The bodice has 2 liners (white satin inside) with boning in the front and side seams inside the liners. We then hand stitched a satin white rosette fabric (has a stretch to it) on the outside (purchased here on etsy!). We left the edges on the bodice purposely unfinished.
The skirt is poofy and gathered at the waist with a V at the front. There is a satin liner underneath the fine netting overlay and lace streaming down from the waist. The lace is not in perfect condition. We added a crinoline for fullness (not included). The skirt is a dusty rose color, hand dyed (so not perfectly evenly dyed).
In the back there were originally many buttons but very worn. We detached the buttons and used the original button loops on on side and added new pink satin button loops on the other. Then we laced it with a white satin cord (much like a corset) and with this, the size can vary anywhere from 2-3" at the bust and waist. We also added a stabilizer to hold up the bodice that attaches at the side seams and at the back which is adjustable (like a bra back)
