James and I worked together on this project. James cut out each individual little piece, and we both put it together. Power tools were used to cut the pieces, but sanding and assembly were all done by hand. The headboards and rails fit into square mortises drilled into the bed posts; so there was no need for nails, screws or staples. This bed is made of maple and finished in clear satin polyurethane to allow all the beautiful wood to shine through. On these two I painted a little heart design on the headboard. It is in shades of pink and green.
If you want both of our maple twin beds, contact me before buying. I'll give you a special deal for buying both of them. Everything handmade in my shop was made in a smoke and pet free environment. I feel that this little bed is made sturdy enough to be played with by an older child. My shop has bedding and area rugs to complete your bedroom.
