This beautiful multicolored roving came to me as a raw white Romney fleece from an Oregon farm. I washed it and dyed it with professional acid dyes, then carded it on my Duncan drum carder. Hand-pulled roving is much loftier and easier to draft than most commercial top or roving. The third photo is of a sample I am spinning on my Canadian Production Wheel - it shows how easy it is to draft this roving to produce a very fine yarn.
