This handmade upcycled sweater coat is fasionable as well as earth friendly! Everything on this coat is made from recycled materials. I wanted to create a coat with an asymmetrical design that was reminiscent of fire, and this was my end result after a huge adventure between design and creation. The bodice is a very soft cashmere sweater with a silk lining. The skirt and sleeves are made from 100% wool reused from old wool coats to ensure the fabric's durability, with silk at the waist and elbow. It is fastened in the front with six buttons across the chest with button loops. The colors range from a bright crimson to a deep umber orange on the flare. This coat is a size medium-large.
The measurements are:
Sleeve (measured from shoulder to tip): 25.5"
Length (from collar to longest tip): 50"
Arm circumference at bicep: 11".
Sleeves are not stretchy so this coat will not fit a bicep bigger than 11". The bodice does have lacing in the back to tighten to loosen it depending on your waist size. Because of the unique nature of the coat it is recommended that only hand washing with cold water or dry cleaning be used to keep it looking as awesome as they day you purchased it!
