Silver Carpe Diem Necklace - Etched Inspirational Quote - OOAK

Seize the day! This substantial sterling silver pendant features the Latin words "carpe diem" that I've handwritten in calligraphy and etched into the silver. I created this sterling piece by melting silver scrap into a molten orb. I flattened and smoothed the front for etching and then hand filed portions of the pendant for a rustic, chiseled texture. Uneven edges lend character to its rustic charm and make this a one-of-a-kind pendant. I've oxidized the pendant, giving it a brushed matte finish and I've added my maker's mark and quality stamp to the back. This piece is solid sterling and has some weight to it. It measures approximately13/16" x 3/4" and hangs from a 20" oxidized sterling silver chain.
