Imagine the surprise, on opening the box, and out pops this impish Bull Terrier. This is an amazing breed and a beautiful example of all wool, needle felted sculptures. A quality piece, that with care, will last a life time.
The Bull Terrier is a strongly built, muscular dog. The body is well round with a short, strong back. The head is long and strong, oval looking in shape, almost flat at the top, sloping evenly down to the nose with no stop. The nose is black. This dog will not be confused with any other.
Though this breed was once a fierce gladiator, he is much gentler now. Courageous, scrappy, fun-loving, active, clownish and fearless. The Bull Terrier is a loyal, polite, and obedient dog. They become very attached to their owners. The Bull Terrier thrives on firm, consistent leadership and affection and makes a fine family pet. This in not a dog to leave alone for long periods. They need a family to be present and provide very strong leadership. Don't let the comical look fool you as they can become dangerous if not properly handled.
This sculpture is 4 inches at the withers and is 5 1/2 inches from the chest to the hind quarters. He is all wool, an anatomically correct male, and felted around a wire armature. This provides stability to the piece. I use a variety of fibers to get the coloring and details that make the breed what they are. I don't time myself when doing a sculpture because the quality is more important then the amount of time it took me to bring the piece to completion. All of my pieces are guaranteed and I am always available should any questions arise.
