This vintage Bakelite brooch and/or pendant combo is amazing. I haven't seen anything like it or found another on the web.
Measures a little under 2 and 1/2 inches wide by almost an inch tall at the widest part.
You can also wear this beauty up and down, like the famous Tiffany & Co keys. I just didn't have a jumpring large enough to show you a photo. If you want me to make a jumpring and send you a photo, just let me know.
Where the hole is placed for the pendant, the key is perfectly weighted on both sides.
This is a very versatile piece of authentic vintage Bakelite jewelry. It tested positive with Simichrome and the hot water test.
In the 1920s, production began on bakelite jewellery; the colourful pieces were attractive and affordable to those affected by the Great Depression. The jewellery remained popular until production halted in 1942 — materials had to be concentrated on the war effort (to make phones, goggles, etc.)
The chain isn't included, just showing you an example as if it were worn as a necklace.
Thanks for peeking!
