Kiln dried 1" thick 'Texas Ironwood' ( aka: Mesquite ) Chosen for it's bird's eye features and beautiful grain. This piece I created with the intent of placing it in restaurants - commercial kitchens....it's Huge at 34" long x 17" deep x 1" thick. All natural previous drying cracks have been filled with no-voc epoxy and I've added no slid rubber bumper 'feet'. Sanded to 600 grit velvet smoothness and sealed in food safe Mineral Oil and Beeswax. It took 6 hours to work this board to Perfection ! I trust this is a Professional Chef's Dream Cutting Board !
