Skirt is fuller toward the bottom and has one long triangular godet in the skirt which creates a wider sweep. Gown is well made with finished seams.
Two sewn in labels, one reads "Kickernick Restware Celanese Rayon" the other in a side seam reads "Kickernick Restware Rayon 36". Celanese rayon fabric is shown in one of my late 1930s clothing catalogs, it feels like a rayon jersey and does have some stretch or give.
Condition overall is very good, gown is wearable but it does have some flaws, these are not blatantly obvious issues in my opinion but if you are looking for perfect then this is not the piece for you. The skirt has 7 small hand sewn mends, these are spread out over the skirt, four on the front and three on the lower back, they look like small bumps, also there a couple of areas where the fabric appears to be scrapped, as though it had been rubbed against a rough surface like cement. There are about a dozen tiny holes throughout the skirt, I only noticed them when I held the fabric up to strong light.
The last photo shows an example of the issues and the price does reflect them.
