These shorts are fun to make! You can make these shorts in 2 ways (or more), it includes instructions for ruffled shorts with all-around elastic waist plus a bonus tutorial for flat front shorts! Add belt loops for a fun touch and ribbon as a belt!
An oversized rufffled pocket adds whimsy:)
Sizes: nb, 3-6m, 9-12m 12-18m, 2t, 3t, 4t, 5t, 6, 7 and 8
Materials to use: quilters cotton, any other lightweight non-stretch material This tutorial comes with the following:
-sizing chart to cut out your fabric (no full sized templates!
- it saves paper, ink and money that way)
-crotch cutouts
-pocket shapes for all sizes
-belt loops in 2 sizes
-comes on PDF files!
(detachable ruffle apron pattern is available separately!)
You will need: fabric, a sewing machine, serger/overlock machine optional, notions, elastics, scissors, iron, interfacing for pockets (optional), buttons for belt loop and intermediate to advanced sewing skills
