I was always fascinated with circus, those traveling circuses I only get to watch in the movies.. particularly in the 1920's to 1940's, depression era.
One of the main attractions in the show would always be the elephants... I have mixed emotions watching them follow the ring masters. Amazed for their intelligence, but sad for being forever trapped...
Inspired by their grand, majestic beauty, I had hand sculpted a one-of-a-kind, unbelievably tiny, detailed, nostalgic, enchanting and majestic elephant who is forever preserved in a 2cm, dainty glass bubble! Looking at his kind face, I hope you love him too..
It rests delicately on the finger and is not bulbous at all. Just beautiful...
(I am happy to say that my glass domes are made for rings, and are small enough for our fingers but eye-catching enough for people to enjoy and appreciate.)
The bronze filigree ring is adjustable from a size 3 to a size 9 =) The sturdy Pyrex Glass Dome is just 2cm in ht. When dropped, it bounces instead of breaking, because this is a characteristic of a Pyrex glass. Bear in mind though that this is still glass and may break when crushed intentionally. Not for children.
