This beautiful container is 6" wide and 3.5" high, so it has more room than usual. It is made from a piece of Claro walnut burl from northern California, and topped with a piece of Purpleheart from South America. I inlaid a piece of pink abalone into the lid for a hidden accent. The Abalone came from my great grandmothers house in Tillamook, oregon. You can be sure the shell was harvested long ago in California. The lid fits nicely, but not tite...you don't want to have to pry it off.
This can be a pick me up for a friend, or used for many other things.
Claro walnut always has little 'voids' in it. It won't hurt a thing, the piece is dry, and will not change from its present condition.
Totally conceived, and produced here in Sequim, Washington USA. we are the one and only producer, on the planet, at this time......Burl is getting more expensive, so these extra 'special' jars cost more money......
