An archer’s arm guard inspired this art-to-wear cuff in delicate shades of pink, soft turquoise, green, blue and lavender. The design mixes well with Native American jewelry. Archery arm guards, sometimes called “bracers,” protect the archer’s arm from abrasion by the string of the bow.
Except for the larger central band of turquoise glass beads, I embroidered the cuff with Number 11 Czech and Japanese seed beads. I constructed the clasp from sterling silver wire. The cuff measures approximately 7 1/4 inches and should fit snuggly around the lower arm, above the wrist. I edged the cuff in twin rows of robin’s-egg blue and lavender seed beads. I used soft green felt for the lining. Want to see my technique? Check this https://www.etsy.com/shop/LisaPierceJewelry/about/
