Very pretty Art Deco camphor glass necklace has an applied black enamel plaque with French paste center. The camphor glass is carved on the reverse in a star burst pattern and has beveled edges. The glass is prong set in a textured rhodium plated setting with a raised open gallery. The centerpiece is flanked by graduated floral decorated filigree stations. The necklace is finished with a paperclip and oval link chain, and is fastened with a spring ring clasp. In addition, there is a filigree extender piece which could be removed if desired, or left as is, if it makes the necklace hit the right spot on your neckline. There is tiny millegrain detailing throughout each of the centerpiece sections. It is in very fine condition with a speck or two of enamel missing—you have to examine under a loupe to see it. A lovely vintage camphor glass necklace with a nice delicacy and a bright rhodium finish that sets off the frosted glass. It would make a stunning special occasion necklace.
