Fantastic Italian antique heavy hollow formed bracelet with over the top decorative elements. The construction of this almost medieval looking piece is fantastic. There is an all over motif of crescents, flowers,and diamond shaped shields. The bracelet opens and closes with a fully functioning hinge and pin. There is an 84 hallmark indicating a silver purity of 875. There is also something which looks like a PF1. After much sleuthing and help from the fabulous etsy shop Kidlee we managed to find the maker, the shop. and the address!!

As far as the date, it is still a guess for me. The hallmark laws were implemented in 1935 but judging the style of this amazing piece I think it is pre 1935. Just a guess and I would welcome any voice of authority.

The front of the bracelet is 7/8" thick including the spiked domes. The back is 3/4" thick including the balls. Outside measures 3 1/8" by 2 11/16" not including the domes or balls. The inside measurements are 2.5 inches by 2 inches. Weight of 109 grams. The balls have been re-soldered at some time. Otherwise this is in amazingly excellent condition. Judging from the girth and the set of balls on the back of the bracelet I would say that this was made for a man. This bracelet has always garnered appreciation when I have worn it. A fine find for your ethnic jewelry collection.
