---The Story---
If you are a zombie, or you have zombie friends, this is the sampler for you!
I created this "Brains Sweet Brains" sampler as a play on the typical "home sweet home" for a friend's housewarming, and this is a larger version of the tiny one already in my shop. (You can find the tiny version and the cross stitch patterns in "The Links" below, as well as the cross stitch pattern to make it yourself.)
In my mind, this has become part of a whole post-apocalyptic genre of "survival stitching" like the quilts created on westward wagon trains in America that told the story of the journey; but you can come up with your own mythology surrounding these "Brains Sweet Brains."
This is one of my favorite ideas, and one of my first. Expect more zombie-themed (or zombie-friendly) samplers in the future -- probably because I just think it's hilarious and yet strangely poignant to imagine 1. zombies stitching and 2. regular people stitching about zombies.
---The Deets---
This sampler will be stitched on a small-square Aida cloth to fit perfectly in a 5x7 frame (several examples of which are pictured), on white or antique white. The text is in cherry red, as pictured, and the tiny brain accents alongside "sweet" are each pink outlined in black.
Monitor settings may cause the images as you see them to vary slightly in color from reality -- if you'd like this to be stitched in a different color, not cherry red, let me know. See "Customize" or use the drop-down list to select text color as you order. (Please be sure of your choice, as no refunds are available once the stitching has been completed and sent on its way!)
Give me at least 2 weeks to stitch this one to order, as it's fairly intensive labor-wise, but let me know if you need it sooner and I'll see what I can do.
*FRAME: This stitch will come framed (no glass) in a 5x7 straight-from-the-Goodwill secondhand frame, or if you prefer, mounted on a self-stick mounting board ready to frame. (Outside the U.S. and Canada, the stitch will arrive mounted without a frame, since shipping costs would be prohibitively expensive for a framed item.)
The frames pictured are examples of Goodwill frames -- convo me if you'd like to request a particular color and I'll look through my collection to match your preferences!
*CUSTOMIZE: Also, if you'd like in any alternative color thread, let me know by convo or purchase order -- default is as pictured, cherry red with tiny pink brains.
I take all kinds of special orders and love doing 'em, so convo me if you're looking to have some other stitch work done. : D
*SHIP: This stitch will ship within the U.S. and Canada via USPS first class with delivery confirmation or international first class. Normally, count on at least 2 weeks for me to stitch it, longer during the holiday season (October-December). Let me know if you're on a deadline, and I'll see what I can do!
Again, outside the U.S. and Canada, this stitch will NOT be framed due to shipping costs.
