Backyard Baby Boy Quilt, modern

Just when I think I've seen the cutest collection of fabrics, weather it be for a boy or girl, here comes another! This is sooo cute, Backyard Baby, by Patty Sloniger for Michael Miller. Adorable collection of modern baby boy fabrics and colors for the little boys! Bugs in jars (snakes too), a backyard tree swing, and birds sitting in the trees, a beautiful forest of white birch trees, and a few woodpeckers too! I've used all 15 of the fabrics from this line to make this patchwork quilt of 80 blocks. Soft aqua blue, grey, and some of the prettiest green and oranges I've seen! I can make this quilt with a teal colored binding also. The last pic shows how this looks. If you prefer the teal over the gray please message me and I will set up a custom listing for you. The fabric on the back of this quilt is DARLING! And with the way I finish my quilts with a machine stitched binding and finished by hand makes this quilt truly reversible! All fabrics used are 100% cotton and have been purchased from an etsy supplier and my local fabric shop. The batting is mainly cotton with a small percentage of polyester, which gives the batting the needed durability to hold up through the years. This has not been laundered and if you desire the 'puckered' look in a quilt you can achieve this with one wash and dry.; an option I have left up to you. If not, hang or lay flat to dry, these smaller quilts dry quickly. ( This is the best way to preserve and get the most life from your quilt.)
Quilt has been machine pieced and extensively quilted by machine, there are no ties or knots in this quilt, which will add to babies comfort. For those of you who are not familiar with the making of a quilt, the quilting is very important. These are the stitches that will hold the layers of the quilt together, now and through the years. The only fabric that will touch your babies skin in this quilt is cotton!
The binding is doubled, 2 layers of fabric that have been stitched by machine to quilt front and then stitched again by hand to quilt back, this is the most durable way to make quilt binding. I just love the seamless look this method gives the quilt. This is time consuming and more work then a machine finish but the end result is incredible!
This quilt measures 36 inches wide and 44 inches long, nice and long for babies crib.
