There are many formulas for making cold brewed coffee and I'm sure you'll find one that suits your taste. I happen to use 2 1/2 cups (approx. 8 oz) of ground coffee to 7 1/2 cups of cold water. Just put the ground coffee into the filter bag, slowly pour the cold water over the grounds, stir gently to wet the coffee completely, and let sit at room temperature for 12-15 hours. Once the time is up, simply remove the bag and gently squeeze. Empty the coffee grounds into your compost/trash bin and rinse clean with water. That's all there is to it! You will be left with approximately 1.5 liters of coffee concentrate that will make a very smooth, non-bitter cup of hot coffee or iced coffee. You will also determine for yourself what ratio of concentrate to water or milk you prefer. I like 1:3 ratio of coffee to water for hot coffee and 1:2 ratio of coffee to milk for iced coffee with some sweetened condensed milk mixed in for a treat. The concentrate lasts for about 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
There are many YouTube videos out there that demonstrate the cold brewed coffee method. Taste for yourself what everyone is talking about! Do your stomach and taste buds a favor. Less bitter, less acid, and smooth. No electricity required. No extra pieces to buy...ever!
