Vintage original hippie boho 1960s hand tooled tan leather shoulder bag
What a beautiful bag this is.
Thick tan leather hand tooled with elaborate flowers , buds and leaves and a scroll at the back with initials LKS suggests to me that this was a labour of love.
Stitched with leather thonging - and press studs on the straps to give you two lengths and it has 4 little goldtone feet at the bottom, to keep it sturdy.
The base is 10 1/2" (27cm) across X 8 1/4" (21cm) high X 3 3/4" (9.5cm) wide.
The strap is 3/4" (2cm) wide and stitched with leather thonging .
In very good vintage condition - all stitching intact except that are three holes missing their thonging in the strap.
Inside is lined with caramel coloured vinyl and has a large pocket on the side, a little cracked with age where the flap comes down, but otherwise very clean.
Clasp is silver tone and very firm, press studs on strap firm, and there is some age darkening here and there which for me adds to the character of this beautiful bag.
This is a one off original beautifully crafted bag which will last for many years to come.
