YARDSTICK SINGER SEWING MACHINE BASE CONSOLE HALL TABLE:

Before I start, I wanted to let you know that all my "found object" creations are custom pieces. There will never be another piece exactly like it because my found parts dictate what the end result will be. I try to use all "found" parts in hopes to recycle items and extend their life and keep them away from landfills. I guess you could call them "green creations."

This table has been a long work in progress that is finally finished. There's a ton of custom work involved guaranteeing this to be a one-of-a-kind piece of upcycled furniture. There are many custom cut vintage and some colored and aged yardsticks across the top. After pieces all of them together I gave it several coats of clearcoat to protect its finish and to protect the surface from water. The edging is surplus metal roof rain guard rails. The corner pieces are parts of a "sacrificed" old metal angle square of mine. The Singer sewing machine base was horribly rusted so I spent a ton of time sanding and smoothing it down before painting it with many coats of high gloss black paint. Then I hand painted the small parts and bolt pieces with gold paint along with the surface of the Singer logo on both sides. Underneath I spent some extra time applying some metal came bar pieces (from stained glass work) along the edge of the metal rain guard flashing underneath so the sharp edge of it wouldn't be exposed. The corners are protected with pieces of modified copper pipe hangers. The bottom treadle/foot pedal pad can be used to hold books, magazines, a potted plant or whatever else you might want to store there.

Here are the measurements...
Height: 29"; Width (side to side): 48" (four feet); Depth: 16".
