Using a collection of woven stripes as the focal point, combined with Kona cotton solids, this quilt is a geometric delight!
For this quilt I pieced together 5 sections of woven stripes in coordinating color tones. The stripes are either horizontal or verical and paired with a khaki or off white solid. With the longer stripes I added small squares in the same color tones. Along the top and one side I placed longer stripes in random colors giving this quilt a delicious twist of visual delight! The colors range from brown, green, orange, red, blue, turquoise, teal and purple. Any one of those colors are beautiful, but together they are gorgeous.
The back is pieced together using khaki and off white kona cotton with a variety of vertical woven strips placed horizontally across the quilt giving it a visually appealing bonus!
I machine quilted the entire quilt with coordinating neutral thread in an all over geometric design. The binding is pieced together using solids and woven fabrics, randomly alternating around the quilt. I machine stitched the binding to the front and stitched it to the back of the quilt by hand in the traditional manner.
This quilt is the perfect size for laps of all kinds—a beautiful quilt for anyone! it’s the perfect lap or throw quilt to snuggle up in any day of the week!
It has been pre-washed with a fragrance free detergent and tumble dried for that soft crinkled look.

Machine or hand wash gentle, air dry or tumble dry low. Mild detergent if needed. Do not bleach. Gently washing and drying your handmade quilt extends its life.
