This beautiful hanging oak shelf would look wonderful in any room. It has a rustic, yet modern appeal and would be fabulous for displaying candles, potted plants/flowers, pictures, collectibles or wash room towels.

Description: This piece of old growth Oak was reclaimed from a circa 1860/70's Gold Mining Camp located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. This area is rich in history and the California Gold Rush is one such event. The Gold Miners flocked here to mine gold, silver and other valuable metals in the mid-late 1800s. This particular gold mine and settlement was established in the 1860's. These wood pieces show the old nail holes, knots, saw marks and splits that give it a fabulous rustic patina. It looks fantastic for the 140 years it's been weathering in the mountains. Solid and ready to hang.
Surface: sanded to a smooth finish.
Finish: Cabot Polystain - Golden Oak (satin)
Hanging hardware: Two pieces of of 3/8" (122 lbs rated) Manilla rope. Two continuous 90" pieces on each end (or 45" each corner).
