It measures 5x14" and is printed in dark brown and red ink on a newsprint-esque cardstock. The back side of the print has an offset-printed photo of the forme used to print the piece, so that the process can be seen and enjoyed as much as the final print.

Starshaped Press is an old school letterpress shop, meaning that we focus on the craft of good design and great typography. We work strictly with antique wood and metal typefaces for printing, as well as hand carved linoleum cuts, meaning that there is NOT a heavy deboss in the paper, like modern letterpress work. Instead, we endeavor to showcase all of the flaws, inconsistencies and inherent charm of materials that printed for 50 to 100 years before we came along, and, if we do our job correctly, will continue to print when we're long gone.
