Now, on to the details regarding this listing:
I am a child of the 1960s...proud to say...and I paint these old fans as an homage to some of my most favorite childhood car travel memories. It was a chain of roadside shops that sprung up in the early days of the freeway system...often in very picturesque locations along the way. If you can name this chain of shops in a convo, I will give you a 10% discount off the price! Are you up for it?
I found this vintage Spartan fan on a recent excursion to Loganville, GA. As is the case with most of these old fans, the electric cords were rotted and scary. I took a chance and found that it is in perfect working order!
A few days in my studio, which included a washing, sanding, priming, painting, rewire, lubrication, oil and a big hug, resulted in this new, brightly colored specimen.
New black cotton twisted cord and a slip proof black foam base have also been added.
21"H x 20"W and heavy. 3 speeds: Summer Breeze, Summer Storm, Summer Wind Shear
Runs perfectly and oscillates. .
This is a vintage or, in some circles, antique electric fan that has a lot miles behind it. That being said, you are buying this fan as is. I am not making any guarantees that this fan will be working for days, weeks, months or years. It works now and is in great shape and that is all I can guarantee. This is an AS IS sale and cannot be returned.
Think of it as fabulous room decor!
