This vibrant quilt will look great on a twin size bed, a day bed or as a large throw. I used Kate Spain's beautiful Good Fortune fabric. The colors are awesome, bright orange,lime, light and dark purple, teal, blues and gray. The fabric has a wonderful soft feel.
There are tranquil prints on the fabric. We have dragonflies, waterfalls, geometric boxes, flowers, fans, cherry blossoms, lily pads and bamboo leaves.
I quilted a modified feather motif in the main blocks, these 18' large blocks are made up of four 9' squares, which have a 6.5' diamond in the center. The diamonds are top stitched in orange thread.
In the sashing is a simple curved design and the wider border has a floral quilted design. I used lilac thread on the top and white thread on the back.
The backing is white muslin and I used cotton batting. The hand finished purple floral binding, matches the narrow sashing.
Care: Cool, gentle wash. Line or tumble dry, low heat.
