The central decoration features two exotic birds in a stylised tree (probably a willow) looking at a butterfly on the side. The main features of the tree, birds and butterfly were made with a brown transfer and red and orange lustre paint was later applied by hand to colour the scene. This decoration has an oriental feel to it and probably copies a near-eastern design.
This little dish has a diameter of about 11,50cm / 4,52" and has a mark at the back, " 2 / \ " painted in orange lustre paint.
At the front of the dish, the lustre paint is partially gone on the rim and the inner circle (please see pictures), and there are some minor scratches. Other than that, this piece is in a great condition for being so old, and doesn't have any chips nor cracks.
