The cord is 11 feet long and has an inline on/off switch 35 inches from the plug. The plug is wired for US electric systems and WILL NOT work in Europe or Australia unless you use a convertor. Maximum light bulb wattage recommended is 60 watts, perfect for 12 inch or larger lights.
The cord comes with a hook for hanging it from the ceiling. You can also cut off the plug and hardwire it into an existing ceiling fixture.
