I have hand embroidered the patch labels for the fronts of the cans, paying much attention to all the details and careful stitching. This is reflected in the quality of my work as an artist. If you'd like to see the behind the scenes of the making of these organizers, just copy and paste the link at the bottom of this description to visit my daily blog.
I grew up surrounded by people who wouldn't throw anything out long before the up cycle and recycle movement came into play. My parents would save every plastic container and bottle and every tin coffee can etc. Being an artist and a lover of style and home decorating....it was imperative that I combine my roots with my creative flair. So, I used my crocheting skills, learned by my mother, and began making these custom fitted covers for the bean cans I had here in storage. It turned out so fabulously, that I now sell them here in my shop in a variety of shabby chic and neutral styles.
This listing is for a set of two cans. They nest, or fit perfectly right inside one another.
They measure 4.75" tall X 3.5" diameter and the other can is the same height, but 4" diameter.
I get such a thrill when I create using the simplest of items, crochet threads and canvas/burlap patches, hand embroidery and the ever so humble can of beans! You'd never know that such humble ingredients could make such amazing desk top organizers, but they do!
This can set would look great in your home office or studio space, but also think of them on a students desk in a bedroom or homework area.....
