A Koch Snowflake starts out simple and gets gorgeously complex quite quickly. You start with a triangle, then in the middle of each side, you add another triangle. Then add a smaller triangle in the middle of each smaller line. Repeat this as much as you like, and follow the outside line. Voila!
Now, the Koch snowflake is a fractal, so it has the property of being "self-similar." So, if you look at one of the 6 "arms" of the snowflake, you can see that the arm pretty much looks the same as the larger snowflake. In fact, if you took 6 Koch Snowflakes, and arranged them around, the outline around them all would still be a Koch Snowflake, and there would be inner details too. A Snowflake made of Snowflakes!
A pair of 2nd iteration Koch Snowflake Curve, with internal detail (of the 1st iteration), each made from one continuous length of 20 gauge white nylon coated copper wire, are made into matched earrings. Attached to standard silver plated earhooks, they are 4cm (1 3/4") tall.
The necklaces are not included with the earrings. You can get them here:
