I hand sculpted each bird in clay, painted them in intense hues, and carved the fine details that show the pure white clay underneath. I then applied a clear glossy glaze before the kiln firing, so they are easy to care and wash.
The bird family consists of three birds (image #1): the blue one is papa bird, turquoise is mama bird, and the green, tiniest one is the cute baby birds.
Each bird is hand formed in clay using no moulds, so each miniature is unique, just like real birds.
The clay birds are very small and just the perfect size for making you smile anywhere you are without taking up much space. Let them keep you company on your desk or bedside table, display them on a windowsill or decorate your favorite planter: wherever you put them they will surely brighten up your day every time you look at them.

Green bird is 1.3" (3,5cm) long.
Turquoise bird is 1" 5/8 (4cm) long.
Blue bird is 2 1/8" (6cm) long.
I make functional pottery and all of my pieces are food-safe and lead-free. They are also dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand washing and infrequent microwave use will prolong the life of your piece.
