Camtor equipment and tents were well known in the 1950s and 60s and this aluminum kit is typical of the early sets. It is a good size, a little different than later kits that were made more for individuals and less serious campers. These little pots are perfect for boiling water, heating beans or making oatmeal among many other things. The handles are all removable and there is also a sturdy plastic cup. The whole set fits together in a nesting way and can be fastened with the original strap. There is no strap for carrying and doesn't appear to have been one.
This set belonged to my dad in the 1950s and he took it camping with him many times. It shows some age and some wear but the whole set is still very usable and I think it has a nice patina that sets it apart from other, newer kits. It is also better made and sturdier than the more common scouting sets and has held up better than some of the military sets that are around from the same period.
