The Dahlia Collection started to emerged one day from the cut-offs & scraps from other PaperAltar projects. This Paper Dahlia encompasses the geometric beauty of the Dahlia variety, and though they take a long time to construct, they last a lot longer than the actual bloom! Sometimes, depending on the paper I'm using, they can be a natural organized chaos & other times look very orderly. Some of the flowers need one or two tiers & others need three depending on the size. The Dahlias can be Ornaments, Flowers on Stems, Garlands, Magnets or Wall Art. I am currently working on Boutonnieres & Fascinators.
The Nature of Paper - Please Read:
Over time, these pieces may fade, yellow, curl & tear. These pieces can be recycled, ceremonially burnt or can be stored & preserved as a family keepsake. As you know paper typically does not like FIRE, WATER or Direct Sunlight - so please be careful where you put them to live.
