I had several of these pieces that I had purchased just because I liked the colors. I couldn't decide what to do with them until one day this idea just swam into my head...The largest plate is 12" in diameter and the fish extends a little past that. Wouldn't it look great next to a water feature or pond?
I use rebar or green garden stakes (plastic covered metal) for planting(not included). I like the stakes best because they come in many widths, are strong, yet lightweight, easy to cut, and come in long enough lengths to cut in half, or even thirds, making them very reasonably priced also. The glue I use is weather and water resistant and holds up well in all conditions.
I use a piece of PVC in the back of my flowers, it is lightweight and I have found it to be less
bulky than other things I have tried. The shape I use lends itself to 'planting' or hanging.
Bright and colorful, this happy looking combo will brighten up any spot it is planted!
Layers of vintage and thrift store finds combine to make this lovely addition to your garden, year around. All that is needed to "plant" this easy maintenance flower is a length of 1/2" rebar or plant stake. The attached "stem" slips easily over the stalk and there you have it...
