Influenced by the Art Nouveau movement (reminiscent of Alphonse Mucha) and the elaborate flapper headpieces of the 1920's this elaborate headdress evokes passion and elegance.
Two deconstructed oversize red roses form the centerpiece of this design. A sparkly crystal centerpiece (repurposed pendant) is nestled in the center of each flower.
Handpicked Silver Pheasant feathers (three each per flower) counterbalance the shimmery beaded dangles that gently sway with each movement of the head.
Silver Pheasant feathers are uncommon and difficult to source for quality feathers. They are a natural white colour with black stripes that run through half (sometimes the entire) feather.
Shimmering bugle shaped beads drape down from the flower in a silvery white and catch the light with a soft glow.
Stitched to the back of each flower, on a soft, faux, black suede with a black floral pattern, is a milliners comb. Designed for secure hold with fine to thick hair types. Its unique design allows the comb to grab the hair, no matter how fine, and with its malleable teeth even thick hair will not cause the tines to break.
