Glorious 18K white gold Edwardian to Art Deco (transitional circa 1910-20) filigree genuine sapphire solitaire ring, size 6-1/4. Genuine natural (NOT lab created synthetic) round faceted sapphire measures 5mm in diameter x 2.5mm in depth (.45 carat). It has a rich deep blue color, color zoned banding evident with magnification- in excellent condition with a few tiny flea nips at the facet junctions. Faces up beautifully! The mounting is very ornate with filigree, hearts, and chaff of wheat engraving down the shoulders. Measures 5/16 north/south and weighs 2.6 grams. Hallmarked "18K" on the inside of the ring shank. Sapphire is extremely durable and would make a good everyday ring, September birth stone ring, and would also be a lovely alternative to a traditional engagement ring. In excellent condition. Stunning!
