White cotton on all pieces. Circa 1940s. The Southern Belle designs are probably from a pattern by Vogart or Aunt Martha, though in a very quick search on the Internet, I did not find these particular patterns. The Southern Belles are highly decorated with embroidered flowers in pinks and blues. The Belle has some blue embroidery, a floral bonnet, and a yellow crocheted dress. Very sweet. The dresser scarf has the same Southern Belle as the pillowcases except she has pink at the top of her skirt with a yellow skirt, making them a lovely set of the same pattern. The other two pillowcases coordinate wonderfully with the three Colonial Belle pieces.
Dresser Scarf: 37” (94 cm) x 17” (43 cm)
There are no holes in any of these linens. There may be a few tiny dots of stain here and there – really almost nothing. The only condition issue I see is that there is some discoloration where heads laid but I feel these are minimal and I would absolutely not hesitate from using these – even for guests. They are really in good shape.
These linens have been washed and ironed and are ready to use. It is very unusual to find a dresser scarf and pillowcases that match.
Perfect for your guest room, your cottage, or your cottage chic decorating.
