My rhubarb is just about ready in the garden so I thought it was time for a rhubarb vase. Three deeply textured rhubarb leaves adorn this piece with a verdigris glaze. The style and tone is reminiscent of the Arts and Crafts era of the early 1900's .

Hand thrown, measures 6 1/2" tall x 6 " wide and capable off holding a sizable bouquet.

Unlike pottery that is created from commercial blank forms that are mass produced and then 'painted' with glaze, all my pottery is hand thrown by me on my potters wheel. If you see pottery that all looks perfectly identical with limited straight forms, chances are the pieces are purchased by the case from a supplier or created from a mold , then decorated. Pottery that is thrown by a human hand will have evidence of the human touch.

My clay is a buff stoneware fired to 1900 F , and then again to 2200 F.
All my glazes are created from a variety of original raw materials and tested repeatedly for stability and performance. The glaze combinations are the results of hundreds of experiments and years of glaze fascination in color and flow.

An invoice will be included in the package unless requested to be excluded. If you need a gift note included just ask.
I am trying to keep my shipping charges as low as possible and will continue to, if you make multiple purchases the second purchase has a reduced cost. If you're purchasing multiple tiles I will refund any overage in postage.
