We shape clay into a pot,
but it is the emptiness inside
that holds whatever we want.
— tao te ching: A New English Translation, Stephen Mitchell (trans), Harper & Row, 1988.
This trinket or soap dish is handmade of porcelain clay resembling ocean waves or windy clouds in the sky. Glazed in a crackly aqua blue-green. All my glazes are made from scratch in my Montana studio. They are dishwasher and food safe. Signed on the bottom. Measures 3 1/2 inches across. Great for in the bath or in the kitchen for soap, spoon rest, butter, jewlery or home decor.
