There is nothing better to use for sipping Iced Tea on a hot summer day. When you add lots of ice, you can just watch the condensation forming all the way up to the beverage line.
Great environmental and health choice No BPA.
I recommend sipping from a supine position, in the grass under a shady willow tree.
Aluminum was the standard before plastic had itβs big breakthrough. These aluminum cups were popular in the 1940s and β50s in the same settings where today plastic is the number one material of choice: barbecues, parties, beach lunches and picnics. KID Proof!
The two main manufacturers of aluminum tumblers were Sunburst and the Italian company Bascal. These are the latter. The cups came in bright colors β purple, pink, red, blue, silver and a variety of other hues. The aluminum was anodized β a process that protects aluminum from oxidation, increases wear resistance, and promotes color retention. Still, these cups are not recommended for dishwashers, as their colors will fade faster than with hand washing.
This colorful set includes 10 bright colored Tumblers that stand 4 1/2 inches tall.
***Minor dings and wear, some fading to colors, and some with heavy interior oxidation from acidic drinks, but in overall good "vintage" condition for their age and heavy use.
**** I have several other sets that can be seen in both my Etsy Shops. Here is a link to my other store.
