Just adorable and charming! A totally unique item for your home!
I have to admit, I do not know many facts about this set, I simply fell in love with all of these tiny expressions on these cups.
Set of 5 little ceramic tea cups originally labeled Childrens Tea Set when I purchased them in San Diego at an antique shop in the 1980's. Not positive on their age or maker, but probably from the 1950's. I am not sure if their red tops are made of bakelite or some other type of vintage plastic. It is very light and very thin material.
These could be used as teacups or just to hold handy items on your desk, or on a shelf to make you and your visitors smile!!
Truly unique, I have not seen another set like these. All 5 (now 2) are in excellent vintage condition, with some wear on some of the facial paint on a few as you can see in the photos. No chips or cracks plus all of the tops are free from chips or cracking too. No maker marks on the bottom.
Each cup is 3" high and 2.25" in diameter at the top. Convo me if you have further questions. I will package securely in recycled wrapping. If you desire insurance let me know. I will refund any amount over actual shipping plus $1.00 for International shipping.
