This item was created from earthenware clay, kiln fired twice to 1900 degrees. It was made using all lead free, non toxic, eco friendly materials. This piece was created for you to use and enjoy on a daily basis! It is dishwasher safe as long as it is loaded carefully. It is safe to microwave but should be tested first as some models can make the handle heat up. This teapot was not created to be placed on a direct flame.
