When I sculpt and carve with the wood I try to image its history and to work with the contours of the wood that have already been shaped by nature and time. I strive to bring it's story to life.~
Spirit Tree is 21 inches tall. She is made from roots, (securely placed) stones, and a piece of driftwood that has a almost ghostly white-washed colour. This gives her a somewhat celestial appearance. She seems very peaceful and lifelike as though she is thinking about something.
