I make my bowls by throwing the body and carving away the excess clay with a sureform tool. The foot is then rolled out from a coil and attached. Once the bowl sets up I coat the face with slip and then draw through the slip with a knife. When the plate is dry I brush on terra sigilatta which adds an extra depth and color to the pot. The bowls are then glazed with lead-free low-fire glazes. My pots are microwave and dishwasher safe.
