This is a beautiful yellow tweed swing coat from the 1930s. This coat has a simple and elegant design with a peter pan collar, functional slit pockets on either side of the bodice and decorative pearlized buttons to fasten the coat closed (along with a hidden button and fastener at the neckline). The lining is white satin and the back of the coat has a beautiful gathered design which allows it to "swing" back and forth when worn. This coat is approximately a size 5 however, please see measurements below for correct fit.
≈Measurements (in inches with the garment lying on a flat surface)≈
The wool tweed used for this coat has other faint colors woven into it such as ivory and red however, yellow is clearly the predominant color. Also, there is a very faint mark about 1/8th of an inch in size right under the second button hole. I cannot tell if it is a stain in the fabric or part of the wool tweed. This mark cannot be seen at all when the coat is buttoned closed and does not at all detract from the beauty of this heirloom coat.
