This is a beautiful cream coat and matching bonnet set from the early 1900s. The large shawl collar has a beautiful hand embroidered leaf pattern and scalloped edges. The sleeve cuffs also have scalloped edges. The coat fastens in the front with three mother of pearl buttons. The coat is lined with a off white cotton fabric. The bonnet has a large turned back brim that with scalloped edges and a row of cream lace just under the brim. This set is approximately a size 3T however, please see measurements below for correct fit.

This set is not without its blemishes. There are 7 worn spots on the front right bodice. The largest is 1 inch long, second largest one is 1/2 inch long and the rest are between 1/4 and 1/8 inch long. The left sleeve has 3 wear spots approximately 1/8 inch in length. The back of the coat has a faint round stain that is 1 inch in diameter. The upper left area of the shawl collar has a wear spot 1/2 inch long. The coat's lining is in good condition with just some very faint spots near the neckline. The bonnet is in very good condition with some staining on the back inside of the lining. The chin strap is also missing from the bonnet but I actually think it looks cuter without the strap. The set has been professionally cleaned. This set could be worn by a little girl or it would also make a wonderful photo prop or clothing for a doll or teddy bear.
