This is a beautiful royal blue linen coat and bonnet set with white accents from the 1950s. Thid coat has a double collar: The round under collar is royal blue and smaller than the large round white collar sewn over it. The coat has a double row of glass buttons with black edging to fasten the coat closed. The lower portion of the bodice on the front and back of the coat has sewn in pleats which gives the coat a slight "swing" effect. There is also a blue and white belt on the back of the coat which ties in place with one belt loop. The coat is lined with a medium blue rayon fabric. The royal blue bonnet has a large brim and a white linen bow with blue accents on the very top just behind the brim. There are also two royal blue linen ties to fasten the bonnet under your little one's chin. The bonnet is lined with a white rayon fabric. This set is approximately 12 months size however, please see measurements below for correct fit.
≈Measurements (in inches with the garment lying on a flat surface)≈
Circumference (measured just behind the brim): 13
The glass buttons are not original to the coat but are vintage: They are approximately from the early 1900s. The original buttons on the coat were either in poor condition or missing. The lining of the coat has two small wear spots that are about 1/8 inch in size. There is also a small hole in the lining which is 1/4 inch in size. None of these wear spots can be seen when the coat is worn and do not detract from the beauty of this heirloom set.
