This offering is a cane made from two different types of wood. The handle is wild grapevine from the woods next door. The staff is Poplar, I believe, and was cut by our resident beaver along the channel then collected by me. Both are lightly sanded and stained to bring out the wood grain. The staff shows the beaver teeth cut marks all along the length left from when he peeled it. The handle is pinned with a copper pin and "epoxied" for strength. From the top of the handle to the tip is is 41 inches and can be cut by you to your desired length (ideal is measured from the wrist hanging at your side to the floor). If you give me the length, I'll cut it for you if you like (no returns). It has a nice fit to the hand for all hand sizes and a good grip. Handle has a tapered 1 3/4 inch to 1 1/2 inch diameter. Smooth finished to the touch with multiple coats of water based polyurethane. Simply and naturally beautiful with no bling or creepy "forest spirits" attached. This would make a nice cane for light support, hiking, mushroom hunting, or sheep herding. Gift for Grand Dad or your favorite Etsy Dudes??
