This beautiful and distinct wooden spatula is hand carved of hard maple. A storm brought down a mighty tree – one of its branches continues to live on in form of “Flame”.

“Flame” is one of our bigger spatulas and it’s great to use in non-stick cookware. The blade is nicely rounded so it is perfect for sauteing, stir frying. Plus, since it made of solid wood it will not scratch your expensive cookware. The handle has a smooth, ergonomic shape and a nicely rounded end so it feels good in the hand.

The grain has been raised twice with water during the process of sanding to create a smooth finish in order to prevent "fuzzing" when it gets wet. It was oiled with food safe organic hemp oil and polished with beeswax for protection.

“Flame” would make a great addition to your kitchen or an elegant gift for those who appreciate style, natural materials, and handicraft.

“Flame” is 12 1/2" (31.7cm) long and at the widest part it is 3 1/4" (8.3cm).

Care is easy: just wash in hot soapy water, towel dry, and apply some oil, for example hemp or walnut oil every couple of weeks and this spatula will look like new for years to come. Dishwasher use and soaking is not recommended.

A care guide will be shipped along with the spatula or other kitchen tools that you order.
